The beautiful rolling hills of Thousand Oaks, home of Trinity House
Our Story
My journey into recovery truly began when I started sponsoring newcomers in Alcoholics Anonymous. Through that process, I discovered my passion for helping others navigate their own paths to sobriety. Each story I heard, each challenge faced, ignited a desire in me to make a broader impact—why not extend that support on a larger scale?

When I first entered treatment, I was met with a community of compassionate individuals who offered support and kindness. The friendships I formed were invaluable. They taught me that recovery is not just about the individual struggle; it’s about the collective journey.

A significant part of my motivation comes from the loss of my twin brother, who battled addiction and, despite his efforts, ultimately lost his fight. His journey drives me to create a space where others can find the support he desperately needed.

This vision led to the creation of Trinity Sober Living. We aimed to foster a welcoming environment where individuals could feel safe and connected. It’s not just about providing a place to stay; it’s about building a community. Here, residents share laughter, experiences, and mutual support, reminding one another that they’re not alone.

At Trinity, we prioritize holistic healing—mind, body, and spirit. Our workshops and activities encourage residents to express themselves and find joy in recovery. Each time someone shares their story or achieves a milestone, it strengthens our bond and reinforces the message that recovery is a shared journey.

When I see residents taking their first steps toward sobriety, it’s a powerful reminder of why we do this work. Their victories, no matter how small, inspire us all. I want to ensure that no one feels isolated in their struggles, just as my brother once did.

Trinity Sober Living is more than just a place to stay; it’s a supportive home where healing flourishes. Through every challenge and triumph, we celebrate each individual’s journey. Together, we create a space filled with hope and connection, proving that recovery is not just about overcoming obstacles but also about building a life filled with joy and camaraderie.
